![]() Rides Crashing: The ability for rides to crash while running scenarios IS still included in game. I could not get this to work without TSI being enabled. If the option does not appear after Touch Screen Interface is enabled, increase the size of the Terrain brush, then decrease it and the button should appear. Hill Tool/Fast Slope/Terrain: This option is currently bugged and does not work unless Touch Screen Interface (above) is enabled. ![]() Developers will need to change this if they intend for players to have access to ALL rides/stalls/objects, etc, in a sandbox scenario. In game you are limited to 255 built Rides/Stalls. ![]() You are limited to 128 Rides/Stalls, and you have to select them in the scenario editor. Note: There are still limitations with this that have carried over from the original RCT2. This will create a true sandbox when you boot up that scenario. Near the end of the editor select the "No Cash" and "Have Fun" options. Sandbox Mode: There is not a default sandbox option, however, if you go into Toolkit, you can create your own in the scenario editor. Screenshot showing the differences between RCT Classic, RCT 2, and RCT: Deluxe The developer will need to fix this if they intend for every scenario to have those options. It was not "removed" it was just never added back. That's what the developers did.Ĭannot Change Price Entrance Fee/Charge Per Ride: RCT Classic is entirely made using only RCT 2, where the player did not have this function. Laymans: Imagine going into the RCT: 2 Scenario Editor and just building your favorite Scenarios from Roller Coaster Tycoon: Deluxe. There are currently issues with the version differences, which are addressed later in this thread, however, for all intent and purposes, you ARE getting all the content from RCT: Deluxe and RCT 2: Triple Thrills, in one, convenient, package. At minimum this game includes 90% of similar content that looks, feels, and acts like RCT: Deluxe. The developers took the time to recreate the scenarios from Roller Coaster Tycoon: Deluxe inside of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and put them into this game (Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic), however, due to the differences in RCT:Deluxe and RCT 2, there are slight differences and variations to the scenarios. This game is technically ONLY Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. Of course the obvious drawback would be a loss of compatibility with the official games, but we're sort of in that situation already if you use invisible huts and some crooked house hacks.Īt the very least it'd probably be a good idea to start including a ReadMe.txt that links to the ORCT2 website zip'd up along with any save files. This game is Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 (Please Read)Ī lot of people ask whether or not this is Roller Coaster Tycoon:Deluxe combined with Roller Coaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrills. That would ensure that people view ORCT2 parks properly and without huts reappearing or the game instantly crashing. If Steam stores the RCTC data in a predictable location it might be possible to create a new launcher that automatically finds the RCTC data in Steam and then auto-loads the park that's contained in the same folder.Īlternatively, it could be time to say goodbye to the. ![]() Kind of makes me wonder about the practicality of distributing an ORCT2 launcher along with save files. I have to assume the same will be true in Steam, which makes deciding whether to keep a park RCTC-compatible that much more difficult. ![]() Since RCTC removes all corrupt elements from the map, invisible huts and other invisible items all reappear on iOS. I've also noticed that crooked house mode for invisible track seems to crash RCTC in some instances but not in others and I have not yet been able to sort out when and why. My biggest fear here is the potential for incompatibility between RCTC and ORCT2's save files. Assuming the quoted comments above pan out Steam will be a way more accessible way to get the data files needed to run OpenRCT2. The great news about this is that it should bring a few more people to the game. ![]()
